Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
So $499.99 brand new. Interestingly, this is on par with the PS5 and Xbox Series X, $ wise. I think this is better
This makes the $499 13th-gen version from Walmart back in November (i5-13420H, 16GB RAM and 144Hz screen with 4050 GPU) seem like a tremendous deal now.

Your best bet is waiting 11 months for the next Black Friday deal then, in the mean time this is a decent deal for others that don't want to wait 11 months or can travel back in time to buy old deals.

Fair point. There won't be a better deal anytime soon.

Not true.
There would be.
If you have a Microcenter nearby, it has 2 very good gaming laptops deals at this price.
There would be good deals in the next 2-3 months as they clear the stock for the new GPUs. You don't have to wait 11 months, SD history is a proof of that.

Why would I need to wait or travel back in time? I bought one in November for $499!
I also didn't say this deal sucked -- I merely compared this deal on an older refurb unit to a deal on a newer generation brand new unit which some people might appreciate (not you, obviously).

It was but the one I bought had a washed out screen. I returned it. HP Victus screens are only 250 nit and not that good. Better to opt for a LOQ or Nitro.

I read a few people complained about that. The one I bought looks fine, but I'll most likely return it (holiday return period is nice!) as I don't really have a use for it.

Both of those LOQ and Nitro that I looked at were 250 nit screen too.
How do the iGPU stack up against the dedicated cards like this one? Just saw a post for a four core iGPU here...
