I just bought from Amazon and was able to renew my subscription, no problems. They emailed the activation code seperately just after the order was placed.
I can also confirm I was able to extend my current subscription without issue. Interestingly, I got a 'no rush' credit for $5 bringing my grand total to $28.09. Nice.
Sounds like it applied $5 of credits that you already had to your order.
Thanks to everyone who mentioned that it worked on a renewal. I had read posts saying that the Newegg download purchase worked with renewals in the past, but honestly I did not believe them. But with so many people posting it here, and this great price, I decided to give it a try, and it worked!
Any nag screens? Some software plasters nearly the entire screen with a nag window.
There is a a constant "Your Subscription has expired" that takes up about 1/4 of the screen either on the left or right, making your register area less wide and having to make adjustments if you want to see the entire register on your screen. You can go to view Full Screen for it to disappear, but not easy to work that way.

But I couldn't find anywhere in my Simplifi or Quicken account where you could add an activation code. But even if there was a place to add it I would be afraid that it would just replace my existing subscription rather than extending it.
Question: How good is Quicken at linking Investment and 401K accounts? Their Simplifi product is missing a number of important vendors including Alight
This doesn't come with online version does it? I've heard that works way easier than the offline version
I can access Quicken on-line (app.quicken.com) using my regular Quicken subscription user name and password. Everything also appears to be synced. However, I can't say that it works "way easier" since I am so used to Quicken Classic.

I'm not seeing any Q&A on the listing for this item. I can't help but wonder if it doesn't renew my subscription, I have no recourse. This product is non-returnable and non-refundable.
Worked fine to renew my subscription.
