The Milwaukee M18 FUEL ½" High Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring is the most power-dense impact wrench in its class, provides greater access in tight spaces, and maximizes productivity through faster removal speeds. The POWERSTATE Brushless Motor delivers up to 1,100 ft-lbs. of Fastening Torque and 1,600 ft-lbs. of Nut-Busting Torque when paired with the M18 REDLITHIUM FORGE Batteries, while the compact size at 7.6 in. L gives users greater access in tight spaces. The M18 FUEL ½" High Torque Impact Wrench w/ Friction Ring maximizes productivity on the jobsite and in the shop by removing stubborn bolts and fasteners faster than cordless competitors. The patented battery isolation system provides a secure battery connection and controls vibration transmitted to the pack. Tri-LEDs surround the anvil to deliver brighter light with fewer shadows. 4-Mode DRIVE CONTROL offers greater precision with a range of pre-set RPM and IPM levels, selectable from a single button on the tool. By selecting Mode 4, AUTO SHUT-OFF control applies no more than 50 ft-lbs. of torque for hand-tight fastening applications to prevent overtightening. Mode 4 also features Bolt Removal Control that delivers users full torque output, then decreases RPMs once the bolt is loosened to prevent fastener drops. The ½" Friction Ring design allows for quick & tool-free socket changes.

I bought the old Ridgid version from DTO when it was on sale for $80.
That was 2 years ago and I still haven't come across a big enough job to need it, but I'm still glad I have it. I do pack it on roadtrips for speedy spare wheel swaps if needed.

The size of the mid torque is nice...but if I'm only going to have one impact wrench, then maybe I should just get the big boy in case there are some big boy bolts I need to blast off.
I only have the 1/4" impact driver now and it is mostly fine for my needs (mostly just changing winter/summer wheels on 2 cars twice a year). But...it has enough power to break 1/4 hex to 3/8 and 1/2" socket adapters and I occasionally do work beyond wheel changes where a stuck bolt could pose a real problem in the middle of a project. It also doesn't have the nice "Mode 4" setting for hand-tightening bolts before switching to the torque wrench which would be nice to have for the wheel changes.
That being said...I could buy a LOT of 1/4 hex to 1/2 socket adapters before I made up the price of a new tool...

But that's weak sauce compared to 1,100 lbs of torque.
