Thanks, TU'd

Cons: Cheaper in the past, DRAM-less
Pros: Faster and higher TBW than WD blue deal currently going on.

I'm waiting for that $150 range on a good 4TB nvme, the wait continues.

Do you think it's because of the name brand, the off-brand. I'm sure you've used thermal pads right?

Can someone comment how different this is compared to Lexar NM790? One reviewer on newegg posted that this is pretty much the same as NM790 and its cheaper. I am trying to install it in my Rog Ally X, so power and temperature are key factors... Any comments on this? Thanks!

Looks like you may be able to get close to that ordering it direct from Aliexpress instead of letting Newegg broker the deal in the middle?

Single sided to fit in a laptop?
(Although with Heatsink, probably wont fit...)
I would think it would be very unlikely that this SSD is single-sided since single-sided 4TB NVME SSDs would require the more expensive higher-capacity NAND chips.

As far as I know, only the 4TB Samsung 990 PRO is single-sided. However, I haven't kept up with SSDS for the past year, so I hope there are more options for 4TB single-sided NVME SSDs.

Why would anyone trust this much data to this brand? Better buy two of these if so.

If you're only running with thermal pad/sticker only, you may need to attach a heatsink. Most gen 4 nvme require, if not, need one.

Zero chance it's MLC. There hasn't been a consumer grade SSD that uses MLC in years. At best, it will be TLC.

Just think, in like 10 years we'll have 20GB solid state drives for this same price. Tech moves quick, but I bet it could be quicker, they just have to make sure they have something new to sell us every year haha

Would this work as an expandable drive on a PS5?

Looking at the video and photos it appears single sided.
Good for those with a Legion Go!

You'll be waiting quite a while for a good 4TB nvme; NAND manufacturers don't want to see prices that low, and they will reduce supply to price fix... If you find a good one at $180, then you should jump on it!
Amazing one on eBay from time to time, in open box form, for around that price and crazy server reliability is the Kioxia (Toshiba) Dell OEM 4TB. That Kioxia runs as fast as the WD 850X but even more reliable. I have 2 of them.
