took a $10 coupon off of here last month and they didn't take it so i had to pay full price for a horrible haircut. not worth the risk for me sadly

Great Clips is $23-28 in SF bay area so this is a great deal for me.

Because they get paid well, the hair stylists are generally pretty decent.

For those who are wondering, they get paid the minimum wage ($15) plus tips so they probably make $30+ an hour

It worked for me. $18 haircut for $10. South Florida.

Keep on going until you find a great hair stylist. Then go strictly to that one from then on.

Does anyone know if the stylist are paid a flat rate per haircut or a percentage of the haircut price you pay? Example, are they paid half of the $10 or half of a $22 cut?

My guess would be neither. They are probably paid an hourly wage.

I used to go to my local Great Clips but stopped because of a certain cutter I didn't like but yesterday I gave them another try and wow the girl gave me a Georgous haircut, just like the picture I showed her. I will be returning!

Be very careful with this outfit. I was charged for the haircut and added a tip...but when I looked at the receipt when I got home there was another charge on the ticket ($10 or $15 as I recall). I phoned and was told there is no such item like that to charge on their list. They never offered what ever it was. It was a made up item to charge me. So, look out......I never went back to them. Just go to a "real" barber shop and get a real haircut.

Good hairstylist is not even about the money, it's about whether they have time for you. I was paying $80 to a guy, yet I was never able to break into his rotation as a regular, so I had to give up on him and try to get lucky when I have a special event going on. Because, wow, he had skills like no other.

You must have a pop star hairstyle to be justifying an $80 haircut I hope. Sometimes it doesn't matter about the price as I used to pay $20 for someone quite detailed and attentive to your hair (ideally something you get around the $30-40 range) but he unfortunately moved out of state.

Well, I don't have him anymore lol. I only managed like 3 cuts before giving up. In the shop, the waiting room is always completely full, and they were all his clients, all waiting to see him, even though the other barbers were available.

I don't know if this will help anyone here, but this is my story. I was given a pretty uneven haircut here; didn't notice so much until I got home. I called in and told them about it.
They were very kind and told me that "every haircut is guaranteed, come back in and a manager will fix it".
Came back a week later due to work obligations, and a manager gave me an excellent haircut. She was very apologetic about the whole thing and assured me that anytime this happens, the protocol is that a manager always fixes the haircut, free of charge.
