Good for decoration only.

Edit: or catching moths.

I have the full acre one, definitely helps. I don't think it helps a ton with mosquitoes but almost all larger flying insects it does help with and that is very useful out in the country.

If you live in an area with issues with pantry moths, this works inside as well. Leave it on in your walk in pantry, and no moths.

Man I wish there was a good solution for something like this. My backyard backs up to a neighbor who has let ivy consume his acre and it just breeds mosquitoes

Didn't have good luck with this catching mosquitoes... caught other insects though.

Couple of things I've done that have knocked my misquotes down by 90%

1. Spray the yard with "cutter backyard" insect killer, the kind that attaches to a water hose
2. Get a couple of bucket + some "mosquito dunks " set them around problem areas
3. Setup "thermacells" 30 minutes before your going to be outside
4. If you are having a outdoor party or something get the "cutter backyard" spray that comes from a can.

Really #1 and #2 are the longer term solutions

This thing actually does nothing for mosquitoes, absolutely murders moths by the pounds though

I've had good luck with Inzecto mosquito traps in the yard. It doesn't kill the mosquitos that are alive but they lay eggs in it and it stops the life cycle so after a couple weeks they are greatly diminished.

This works well on yellow flies in FL, the only issue I have is that frogs and lizards try to get to the trapped insects and get caught in the fan and die jamming it

Mosquitos aren't really attracted to light. They go by C02. These just kill insects that are harmless and even beneficial to ecosystems

Echo the other posters. I have two of these and they only catch moths and gnats. But my chickens love them.
