Nice price, but man...I am stocked on tuna for the next couple of years from when it was on sale "en masse". Similar discount here compared to the previous sale.

Just FYI, I bought this last time it came up - it wasn't chunk at all, much more like flake with a ton of water

Low quality. I tried giving this to my cat as a treat and he told me to go fark myself. Junk. Solid white albacore or don't bother.
Quote from spader :
Tuna is ok as an occasional cat treat, but it is deficient in vitamin E, and eating too much can cause serious problems. Tuna also contains salt and mercury, which can be harmful to cats. Mercury poisoning can be expensive to treat.

- Tuna is delicious, especially chunk light.
- Skipjack tuna (which is usually used for chunk light) is very low in mercury. Generally, the more expensive the tuna, the higher the mercury - Albacore and Yellowfin has more, and Bigeye even more.
- Tuna is a sometimes food. I don't want it all the time, and prefer my Fancy Feast for mealtimes.
- Personally, I prefer chunk light to solid white. It has a greater umami fish flavor and a stronger scent, while the solid white is bland in comparison. Not that I'll turn down solid white if my human gives it to me, but I won't eat it with the same zeal.

The last time I bought this from Amazon it was little bits with a bunch of water. Costco cans seem like they are held to a different standard.

Yeah, I didn't understand the original comment about mercury. Chunk light has the lowest mercury content relative to others. Everything else is just personal preference.

Check the other options. Same for me...the link took me to 24 cans with no S&S, but there is another option that is the same 24 cans (6 four-packs) that does have S&S option.
