I had 1-gigabit internet with Xfi Complete (for unlimited data) for a couple of years and was paying $115/month. I was tired of spending so much, so I called to decrease the plan or find any promotions. I got an upgrade to 2-gigabit with a 2-year contract for $88.

The 2-gigabit plan was not an option online.
Number I called: 1-800-934-6489
(I had to go through many menus to talk to a real person.)
Your mileage and availability may vary.

Note: I understand that I will not even be able to utilize 2-gigabit on most of my devices, but I plan to run some new CAT6 and get a 2.5Gb switch for my primary desktop.

Price seems decent for the speed but:

1. Comcast is absolutely horrible to deal with if you have issues or when you want to call to cancel because they hike the price 2x or more after the term ends.

2. What are people actually using 2 gig internet for? Netflix 4k stream requires 25 Mbps per instance so lets just round it up to 30 Mbps for good measure. 300 Mbps down will still support 10 simultaneous streams assuming 30 Mbps per stream. Like someone mentioned above the upload boost is nice, but if you have fiber in your area its usually symmetrical (for example 300 down/300 up). If you are backing stuff up to the cloud or sending out large files upload becomes a lot more important.

What happens after a year? This evil company never advertises a fixed prices. It is always some sort of promotion where you need to bend over after a year.

I reached out in their Reddit subreddit, and they couldn't do any better than what I have now. Mine's bundled with cable though.
As stated, the best deals are usually for new customers. I have two accounts and rotate between the two every time the promotions are up. The transfer is usually seamless.

If you are in the Bay Area it varies from city to city and even within the city. Plus, in the Bay Area, check out Sonic for sure. https://www.sonic.com/
Sonic is still a few blocks away from us unfortunately, and Comcast does not have mid-split upgrade in my part of town either. Frown
Sonic is just barely getting into the next city over and covers maybe 20% of the Bay Area. ATT Fiber is expanding in my city but isn't available in my neighborhood yet. I wish I could get Sonic or some sort of fiber internet but we're stuck with Xfinity.

Can't stand Scamfinity. Tired of the phone calls every year. If you have other choices I would go with the other choices.

How do you have two accounts? I'd like to get in on this deal but I'm the sole adult in this household.

It's $85 here and $75 with auto pay. Not a deal?

If you use ethernet, make sure your switch can handle 2GB.

No.

I have the 1.2GB Cable and get uploads at about 350-450M. You need business class to get faster uploads.

Edit: looks like the upgraded me to 2GB DL for same price without me knowing.

Speed

Download speed: up to 2000 Mbps, Upload speed: up to 300 Mbps

So I pay $100 even per month for the 2.0GB Unlimited internet with router and 40 channel TV.

you're paying $15/month for that modem, buddy
I also got free modem for two years. I took this deal only because my modem started giving trouble and was lazy to spend money on modem. I will buy my own before they start charging.

These deals are highly targeted, not generally available. This needs to be YMMV.

Comcrap pretty much has a monopoly in most of the SF Bay Area. It's BS.
