There's always a "gotcha" with woot sales, and in this case, it just happens to be that this is a factory refurb with no wifi. That doesn't sound like a problem to me. It does what a fan is supposed to do, but then, I'm the sort of person who doesn't need my FAN to have WIFI.
That is, of course, assuming you're actually buying the replacement filters instead of doing the smart thing and pulling out the robust existing filter and vacuuming it thoroughly and replacing it.

However, they had the audacity to call it "one time courtesy".
No it's not Dyson, it's you honoring your warranty.
This is $30 AC HEPA replacement filter on Amazon after 1-minute search. I am sure a better deal can be found there if you search harder.

This might make me upgrade for once.
I also hooked the heater up to an energy monitor to see if this Dyson was more efficient as a portable heater. Short answer: yes and no. When the heater is on, it uses the same amount of power as every other portable heater (around 1200w). The Dyson is slightly smarter with the built-in temperature sensor so the heater will turn off when the room hits the required temperature. Wouldn't work well in a big room of course.
