Lowe's is pretty good about showing clearance prices for specific stores online, so just need some time looking up different stores on their site.

Lowes clearance prices in store can be lower than online and the best deals won't show online once there are only a few left. I picked up the Bosch 14-Amp Sds-Max 120-Volt Corded Demolition Hammer Item #904984 |Model #11316EVS for $169.00 normally $729.00 (ymmv but this is highly unlikely to be found in most all stores where it is clearance). It was clearance but if you look on the website it will show full retail price. This item was not on the shelf for sale and was up above where they store over stock. I'm not sure why at some point items either get taken off the website completely or show as full retail even though in store they are dramatically discounted if still in stock (possibly last one or two) at the local store. I saw the same thing with a shark vacuum marked down to $43.00 in store (showed full price online of $240). I checked my local store and it was sold out and none was available to ship or pickup if you tried to purchased in the store at the clearance price. Online you could still purchase at full price. A neighboring store actually showed 4 in stock per the employee at my local store. I went to that store and in store it was priced at $43.00. None on the shelf but they had one up above where the display should have been.
Which leads me to my next piece of advice (which is well known for alot of old time slickers and posted on here). Never call the store to check the price once you hear or see a good deal. They will either say it's not there and buy it themselves or not bother to check properly. I found out about the vacuum a couple months ago and called the neighboring store (I wasn't pressed for the item but it was a good deal). The employee said they checked but didn't have any. Once I was in that town nearby I grabbed an employee and asked about that particular item (made them check and it showed stock but none in the display area). They said it wasn't there since there wasn't a display and none on the shelf. I went searching and it was right up above where their vacuums were located. Sometimes you just have to go searching by yourself to find the best deals!
Happy hunting slickers!

OP how did you find out about this deal, randomnly online (doubt they do anything similar to HD) or stroke of luck while at the store? I'm guessing the latter which means homie talking bout a full tank and some boat shoes is very accurate!!
