Great headphones for those wanting to dip their feet into Hi-Fi. Mine held up through multiple drops and falls over two years although the clamping force was not that great over time. These are pretty easy to drive and sound great though especially for the price. Add a Mod Mic and you've got a great gaming headset.

Yes, if they're within 10 ft and if you're listening at higher volume

Fantastic deal, phenomenal headphones
I use these to watch shows and movies at night, the dialogues are clear and you will hear every little detail through these
The downside of open back is if your HVAC is loud, you will hear that as well
I should stock up

Used these as my gaming headset along with a vmoda mic for about 7 years. Great sound and extremely comfortable. After a while they do start to feel pretty loose, though I would typically only need to adjust once when I put them on and they were good. Only recently replaced them with something different as I wanted to go with a closed back headset, open back does let in a lot of sound.

SHP9500 is the best one below $200, very comfortable even wearing long time.

Been gaming with these myself for 5+ years. V-Moda Pro boom mic and you got better headset than anything you can buy for $200. There's even ways to add 3d printed rings to use Shure ear pads too. This is a deal!

These headphones are really nice. Comfort is the best I've tried. Does anyone have a favorite replacement cable? Maybe any coiled option? The one it comes with is soo long.

Best headphones I've ever owned. Most comfortable. Paired w/ vmoda boom like others. Have exclusively gamed w/ this set-up for over 8 years.

Just buy them.

Shp9500 is alright . I bought it as the first opened back. Then I got into other more expensive ones. I came across the recent Fiio Jadeaudio jt1 and it's just much better comparing to shp9500 to my taste. Pricing is almost the same.
Also JT1 came with inline mic if you are interested in like gaming headset

Agreed, I like them a lot with the bass boost on my fiio dac/amp. Pretty balanced with great mids.

is it made with cheap plastic screws like the X2 and X3 that break in a year or two?

I agree. It needs a shelf boost under 100Hz, a cut around 5500Hz, and a 3dB boost around 7200Hz.
