I would guess she wouldn't like this. The Mandalorian series is new, but the Mandalorian culture is definitely covered in the old movies. That's a gamble on your end. But maybe consider the ornaments going on clearance or a subscription to Disney+ so she can watch the new series. The Mandalorian is well worth the watch!

"the Mandalorian culture is definitely covered in the old movies"

I looked this up. There was one character, named "BOBA FETT" in the old movies. He wasn't even referred to by name, only by "bounty hunter". He had a few single lines, and was killed off in the third film by falling into a sand monster's mouth. That's literally it.

I don't consider that "covered in the old movies".

I am pretty sure Boba Fett was referred to by name in Return of the Jedi. Plus, he didn't die. All is revealed in The Book of Boba Fett on Disney+.

I can see what you're saying from your search results. Actually, Boba Fett and Jango Fett have a LARGE cult following. They have had a large following by Star Wars lovers for decades. I couldn't ever understand it but I see now that true Star Wars fans really get into the obscure characters. I would absolutely not expect anyone to know this unless you were really into SW. But that aside, the original intent of my post still stands. I would not recommend this for his wife.

If you want to get into how much people loved Boba Fett, you can look up and see that the original Boba Fett actor died and the franchise decided to bring back the actor that played Jango Fett to play Boba in the current Mandalorian series, which was a big deal. All to say, the Fetts were a big deal in "old" Star Wars days!
