Refurbished on Amazon with 90 day return is $12.50.

And yesterday I ordered a refurb Pebble 2.1 for $26. It's the same as these plus a passive sub.

They don't sound great but they're $20. I use them while I'm working from home. They make extremely loud TEAMS alerts so I can wake up from napping if someone messages me.

My monitor has a slot for headphones, will these work plugged in there?
Yes. This is how I use mine (Nintendo Switch and old PC monitor setup.) The sound is alright, it's got a bit of body to it, but nothing to celebrate. About as good as you'd expect from a pair of $18 speakers. They beat out most integrated sound options, but just barely.

Any large differences between the newer 3.0 version?

Just checked I bought last July for $16.88. This is not the best deal. But it is a great speaker for the price.

Had these for years on my desk - no complaints at all, just wish I had sprung for the ones with the little subwoofer.

Biggest difference with 3.0 is that you only need to use 1 cable: USB A or USB C, there is an adapter included in the box.

So no need to use a 3.5mm cable to connect with your computer. That's why I decided to get Pebble V3. I switched to a monitor without speakers and needed something cheap to listen to zoom meetings and occasionally YouTube videos. It fit the bill and sounded better than the previous integrated speakers.

I've had a set of these for a few years - from before USB powered so I have the extra plug.
The Pebbles I have are awesome.
They are so small and compact that they really keep the desk clear.
They do not sound like cheap garbage at all
There are great bluetooth speakers but for compact wired speakers these awesome for $18.
I've even knocked mine off the desk a few times and they survive hanging from the wires magnificently

Can you please share the links because I'm unable to duplicate either one of your deals. TY

Have had these for years with no complaints. Picked em cuz I thought they were cute/unique looking. Price wasn't bad either, so this is even better.

I have also used these for a few years. Replaced a 2.1 setup in order to minimize cabling for a standing desk. Easy to connect to the audio out/usb jacks of a monitor. Works great for watching YouTube videos.

I have to put this here just because I would want to know if I was buying. We ordered these for my wife about 6 months ago and WHEN THEY WORK they are amazing. The corded was shorted out from the day we got them and you had to wiggle them and bend them all over to make it work.. so we returned them and got another set. 2nd set had the exact same problem straight from the box too.

I wish they didnt have that issue but we didnt want to mess with getting a 3rd set, so we ended up ordering something else. These did sound the best in this price range though!
i'm having this problem with the v3. seems to be a common problem, i've already returned one pair. such a shame cuz they sound great

These are relatively full sounding for their size. I think you'll be hard pressed to find something better that isn't significantly larger or more expensive.
Sound will distort badly if you push it past slightly above "loud talking" decibels or if you're listening to something complex with a lot going on. But I would imagine this affects every cheap speaker.

I have these in white. They are just okay. Don't think they're worth $18.20 though. Definitely wouldn't use them as primary speakers for a desktop PC. Maybe if you're traveling and want something to plug into your laptop.
