Rigid tools aren't part of the mainstream dewalt v. milwaukee conversations, but I have 3 rigid tools i've purchased purely out of pricing and have found them to be excellent. Use the inflator for my camper tires, circular saw, too. They have a pretty impressive variety of tools. Good price to get started if you're not following the mainstream path of tools.
My lug nuts scoff at brushed motor tools, no peasant shall remove my tires!

Why is everyone on SD so crazy about brushless motors? They do have their advantages, but I think most casual users / homeowners would fail to notice them.
And Ryobi. But Ridgid has the best warranty of the three.

Most Ridgid power tools are rebranded AEGs [aeg-powertools.eu]. They are distributed by the same umbrella megacorp tool company, TTI, as Milwaukee and Ryobi, not necessarily manufactured by them.

Edit: It's actually much more complicated than that with various licensing agreements between the huge corporations that actually own the brand names and manufacturing through lots of different factories in dozens of countries.

More power on reverse, no sparks, longer motor life
