I got the store manager to mark it down to "fair" condition (but i waited like an hour) and the price adjusted to $1352 or something. How are you getting $1200? Thats even better!
well anyways, I got an OEM charger from Dell for $185 - 15% with card so $177w/tax.
Dell is totally ripping off for their chargers, but also note that the original charging cable and brick are twice the size as the current one from Dell. So, while they screw you up the ass in the price they do at least give you a smaller more realistic charging cable/brick if you buy the new one.

Now with all that is said, I will have spent like $1600 with tax included for the laptop and a new OEM charger. IF it passes my testing I will keep it of course for a desktop replacement. 4080 laptop is comparable to a 4070 desktop performance.
At $1600 your still not gonna find a 4080 laptop at this price point. Comes with 32gb ram and high hertz monitor screen, although low 300 nits only. I heard the speakers suck so not going to care about them. Has 3 NVME slots but note that 1 is 2230 and only supports up to 500gb nvme. The other 2280 slots support up to 4-8tb nvme's.
The only downsides are if best buy tries to scam you and claim excellent condition like with me, but had 3 issues that should have been fair condition. Make sure you inspect in-store. The other issues people are having could be due to the usual laptop bloatware. My goal is to wipe the drive and install Ghelper. Typically laptop software is bloatware from the manufacturers. Ghelper is a minimal program and comes with important features but not as many as the original bloatware. Ghelper does provide the important stuff though like fan curve, cpu wattage and mux switching options.
Lastly the cooling on any laptop is going to be bad out of the box. You have to set a temp limit, wattage limit and curve optimizer to negative values.
If all my settings run this laptop well and keep it cool temps, I will keep it. If not then I will surely be glad to return this motha fockin dell ripoff $185 charger.
Also this is pretty heavy for a laptop, a true desktop replacement. Note that you will not have to upgrade anything unless you want more nvme drives or 64gb ram instead of 32gb. Otherwise everything is good. I will just be putting my desktop drives in it and keep the 32gb.
I will be able to test it when the charger comes in the mail from dell. I will try to update my review afterwards.
