And if the cable isn't 240w as it claims, it can't be used with the 230w Lenovo Thunderbolt dock that is the only one that'll charge a gaming laptop. I don't think people pay attention to this stuff. To most, a cheap Chinese cable that says it'll do something is good enough even if it doesn't, which is likely.

And if the cable isn't 240w as it claims, it can't be used with the 230w Lenovo Thunderbolt dock that is the only one that'll charge a gaming laptop. I don't think people pay attention to this stuff. For the vast majority of people, USB-C is amazing and this cable will be fine and not "overheat your phone".
It's only confusing, not misleading 😉
Both your device and the charger must agree on a charging standard, and the cable must be able to support the volts/amps
I've seen a number of cases where the the cable and charger support the necessary wattage, but limits on volt/amp combinations means less than maximal charging rates​
