I checked your account and you were under our
SAVE10 promotion where you get $10 off for 5 years and you are on our $45 premium plan already.

That is correct. The SAVE15 promo brings it down to $30. I was hoping you could apply that or else l'll just downgrade to the basic plan and then upgrade using that promo. But wanted to just avoid having to do that

Upon checking your request that you will step down and ask if we can add the SAVE15 promotion to get $15 off for 25 months, unfortunately upon reading the terms and condition for the SAVE15 promotion, it states that : agents will not be able to apply the SAVE15 promotion if the member is already on the $45 premium plan and request to step down and wanted to add the SAVE15 promotion to their account.
I deeply apologize but we can not add the SAVE15 promotion after you step down and upgrade back to the $45 premium plan. I advise you not to step down because when you step down, you will loose the SAVE10 promotion that were applied to your account

It's not as if you're locked into a contract. You can switch away at any time... and you've got basically 2 years before you even have to think about it again.

Now I did read one post claiming he was able to use chat to get an agent that claims to have gotten the SAVE15 promo code applied to his current V+ account but that the discount won't be reflected on the account details for like 4 or more days. Maybe it works but I'd be highly doubtful. It sure would be great if would. Also in that earlier post recapping a chat conversation the agent stated that the then terms of the promo said agents could not apply the code to existing V+ accounts…or something to that effect if I remember correctly.
So YMMV and if you do succeed, please report back as I have a line at $35 I'd like to get down to $30 without having to play the port out/port in game.
