I checked your account and you were under our
SAVE10 promotion where you get $10 off for 5 years and you are on our $45 premium plan already.

That is correct. The SAVE15 promo brings it down to $30. I was hoping you could apply that or else l'll just downgrade to the basic plan and then upgrade using that promo. But wanted to just avoid having to do that

Agent:
Upon checking your request that you will step down and ask if we can add the SAVE15 promotion to get $15 off for 25 months, unfortunately upon reading the terms and condition for the SAVE15 promotion, it states that : agents will not be able to apply the SAVE15 promotion if the member is already on the $45 premium plan and request to step down and wanted to add the SAVE15 promotion to their account.

I deeply apologize but we can not add the SAVE15 promotion after you step down and upgrade back to the $45 premium plan. I advise you not to step down because when you step down, you will loose the SAVE10 promotion that were applied to your account

Here is another way to save some extra money: if you have some (older) unlocked phones or or eSIM slots in active phones available you can create and activate new accounts for other people in your household. You'll get a $20 credit per referral in the referring account and the new account gets a $20 discount off the first month. Choose the $25 plan without any other promo codes (since they can't be combined with the referral credit). Once the new account is active turn off autopay and close the account before the first month is over (or just don't pay which suspends service and eventually cancels it). You'll essentially pay $5 for the $20 credit on your permanent account. You can use one referral credit per month so your already discounted $30 plan comes down to $10 as long as you have referral credits banked (you can bank up to 12). I recently did this with my son's account (who recently signed up for the promo $30 plan for 25 months. I also had statement credit offers on 3 Citi cards that were worth $25 each for any purchase from visible. The $5 first month payment for the throw away accounts triggered the credits so I made another $60 along with the 3x$20 referral credits my son received.

It's not as if you're locked into a contract. You can switch away at any time... and you've got basically 2 years before you even have to think about it again.

Set a reminder for 2 years, and don't fret it in the meantime..

Happen to me. I had to cancel existing plans, and it will show up. You'll see $30 Visible+ in Statement.

That's the way I see it. I can switch at anytime, and don't have to worry about it for 25 months.

Anyone know if this works when switching from an old Visible+ plan to the new plan? I'm on the old plan at $45, plus $5 for smartwatch, with a $10 discount from an old promo.

Here for this also. Probably risk downgrading to regular Visible and then trying to upgrade again. Just not sure what would happen with my already connected watch.

Same happened to me. Had to start a chat. Get an agent. Explain I upgraded and SAVE15 promo was applied at checkout but not reflecting in account details. Wait about 10 minutes for them to eventually open a trouble ticket for another department with real power to investigate and solve the problem. Woke up this morning to an email that SAVE15 was manually applied. Check online and discount is shown on Next Statement.

And oh…don't let the agent tell you it'll magically show up next month. It won't. Probably should exit chat and start over. Because it's fix it now or you'll be fixing it later.

That means you're already on PLUS if you can 'keep current plan' with plus selected.

Before you downgrade…you should look back at some of the first posts in this thread. There's an agent chat explaining that it won't work. When you go to upgrade back the promo code won't work. And I think someone tried going from V+ $35 to visible basic and then tried upgrading back to V+ $30 and it didn't work. Left them with only full price $45.

Now I did read one post claiming he was able to use chat to get an agent that claims to have gotten the SAVE15 promo code applied to his current V+ account but that the discount won't be reflected on the account details for like 4 or more days. Maybe it works but I'd be highly doubtful. It sure would be great if would. Also in that earlier post recapping a chat conversation the agent stated that the then terms of the promo said agents could not apply the code to existing V+ accounts…or something to that effect if I remember correctly.

So YMMV and if you do succeed, please report back as I have a line at $35 I'd like to get down to $30 without having to play the port out/port in game.

Yes I am currently paying $45 so really no risk for me to try (minus possible issues with watch eSIM) but I did reach out to Chat, and 1st attempt, no go. I will reach out again when I have time since might get lucky with an agent that might figure out the process that could work.
