I have had several flexvolts fail, too. Had them replaced under warranty and since I had nothing to lose, took the side covers off to inspect. In each failed battery it was just a set of cells out of balance with the others. Slide the red shipping cover on (it isolates the cells from each other), use a bench power supply ($65 Amazon) set to 4.0V 2.0 amps to charge each cell individually to match, when all match put it in the dewalt charger and now they all work good again!

I received the pack of 2 Dewalt 20v batteries from. Northern Tool. I did not receive the free Dewalt Oscillating Tool. Nothing on the invoice mentions the oscillating tool. I followed the link from SlickDeals to Northern Tool's website. I'm getting a bad feeling about this. I will call them tomorrow. Anybody else get the complete promo as listed above?

Replying to my own comment with an update. Northern tool is going to send me the tool free of charge. They are doing so as a courtesy for a first-time customer. Talk about customer service, they've earned a return customer for sure.

Do not use the $10 off coupon code with this promotion. It will remove the oscillating tool from you order. I was told this my their CSR.

Website says backordered now, but local stores still have them in stock. Ordered for store pickup in Houston and had the tools in hand an hour later.
Also note that the $20 off $100 coupon code will remove the oscillating tool, but the $5 coupon code for signing up for emails WILL work with the free tool.
