Also consider the "Forge Force Color Master" lightsaber on sale there for $16.27, down from $50 when it was first released. I got it recently and it's cool. It changes between 5 colors, each with unique sound effects. The parts for that and this lightsaber are interchangeable, which is fun too.

The app said our local Walmart had these in Seasonal, they were instead back in Toys with the other Star Wars gear. They had plenty, 20+ on the top shelf. Unfortunately they would not match the Walmart.com price at the register. This led to the discovery that our local store has begun implementing a $35 minimum for pick-up orders now, and you have to schedule pick-up slots at least two days out. Ah well, ordered five for pickup in a couple days, three will be returned.

How sturdy are these for fighting?
After a mystery shopper picked up my first order, I was ultimately able to pick up a second order for two. As you can see from the product photos, the "blade" of the saber is three segments of hollow plastic that nest into each other. Our 4.5 and 3 year old have been play-fighting, they have held up thus far---but we have tried to impress upon them to not hit/swing them hard against each other or they will crack. They make blade contact/crackle noises upon impact, which is fun. They play saber swinging noises while on, but it's just a prerecorded track--swinging motions do not trigger the sound. Overall I would say they are sturdy enough for light play-fighting, but any significant impacts will undoubtedly lead to segments cracking on the mold seams.

An additional note: you are supposed to be able to extend the blade with a swing motion, and 'retract" it by pushing on the tip to unlock the segments and collapse the top two segments down into the largest base segment. On both of our sabers the tip segment--upon first swing--jammed into the middle segment and will not unlock. I tried tapping on the tip with my hand, and tapping the tip on the floor as hard as I dare without cracking the plastic--it will not retract. I was able to find anecdotal complaints in the reviews of others having the issue.
