If you have already begun balding, you will not experience much hair regrowth, if at all. However, it should slow the rate of hair loss. Some patients experience meaningful regrowth.
You should ask your doctor if you are on some kind of vasodilator, have low blood pressure, or have a cardiovascular disorder. In general, minoxidil is safe and side effects are benign.
You will experience reduced hair loss as long as your using it, and you should use the recommended amount daily. Discontinuing use may return you to a normal rate of hair loss.
