I went ahead and pulled the trigger so thanks, OP. I use nearly all Kobalt 80V and 40V yard tools (I worked at Lowe's for a few years and managed to acquire must of my shop for prices that are hard to imagine so it just made sense for me). For those that are not aware, this style of batteries is nearly identical to Kobalt 80V batteries (same parent company). Like many tool brands, when they are owned by the save patent company, the battery casing will often have a very subtle difference where the battery grooves are meant to slide onto the tool battery port. Otherwise, the metal prongs and technology are compatible. As long as you know where to trim (observation and/or YouTube tutorial), you can easily have these batteries be interchangeable across platforms.

After my Kobalt 80V blower developed some kind of defect about 2 years ago that has it in a constant state of only wanting to run at 50% max power (I finally managed to "fix" it recently) and my biggest Kobalt 80v battery that came with my push mower stopped working altogether, I've been running everything off of my other 3 80V batteries. I have a large yard to maintain and I'm beginning to notice a degradation in the run time of these batteries with how hard I've had to push those three over the last year. Battery powered blowers are the absolute biggest culprit for chewing through these batteries in no time and it is by far my most used yard tool. This purchase will let me get another battery to throw into the mix and hopefully give a little more rest to my other 3. I don't even know what I plan to do with the old Kobalt blower but something tells me I'll be 'that guy' who looks like one of those YouTubers trying to make a home made Iron Man suit to float around the yard by using two blowers at once....

Come to think of it, I might need to order another one...

Good deal if you are looking to expand your GW 80v. Comes with a battery as well.

And before people flame this post that the battery is too small, putting a larger battery makes it hard to balance it on the back in.

For folks who is scared of 2.5Ah battery, life is only about 10-15 min. But i get more done in 5 min than I can with my 40v blower in 30 min.

Bought this a few months ago. Mine appeared to be brand new. Works quite nicely (lot cheaper back then, FWIW).

I bought it last Aug and it looks new as well. It was $72 and a great deal to get on the Green works 80V platform and it would be great if there's a tool with a 4ah battery deal.

May I ask how much was it back then or the price you paid?

This is the best deal, lowest price ever seen.
Below is a compatible DIY gutter cleaning kit. It is the only leaf blower kit can clean 2 story high gutters, the only kit can unclog downspouts. One gutter cleaning service bill can cover all DIY investment.

Here's the "3 step DIY ladder-free gutter cleaning " video: with remote installable strainer, you downspouts will ever be clogged again, never needs thousands dollars for gutter guards.

I have both this exact one and an 80v backpack version. This gets really heavy on the wrists and forearms after a bit. The backpack is about double the price when I got it but is 1000 times more worth it even if you just get an older model of it imo

Yea I prefer the backpack than these types of blowers. It really does get heavy. Fine for short time but it really does weigh down your arm.

In case it comes back in stock or in a future deal: This is much bulkier than theie older non-pro 80v blower, however it's a much better unit (I've one of each). Compared with their OG unit, this one has a way to lock the trigger and a much higher turbo speed (though it'll eat your battery if you abuse it for long maxxed out) If you buy the refurb, even though the manual will show an elastic shoulder strap, it does not come with the refurbs (not that the listing mentions it, so they aren't pulling a fast one). This thing is particularly cumbersome when you pop in a 4Ah battery, and the strap makes a world of difference there; even with the 2Ah it will make life much easier. The strap [ebay.com] is $40 on eBay, but if you politely send that 'greenworkstools' seller an eBay message pointing out that the manual shows the strap as included, they may offer you a discount 50% coupon for the strap. In my case from this past summer, it was good for 5 separate transactions. That strap is a lifesaver with this monster and well-worth it, especially at the discounted price!
