i have the 2023 i'd.4 on a lease and can honestly say i'm counting down the days until this car goes back

one of the worst cars i've ever owned, technology is very poorly designed and frustrating, countless recalls and range is mediocre at best.

there are many more comparable options when it comes to EV. Chevy Equinox being one that is also very well priced.

My personal opinion would be to get him a used car if he or she a new driver. Cheaper insurance and less fear of damage. Damaging a leased car is going to be costly. Not meaning to offend or anything, just providing my own experience as an ex-college student.

Might want to consider a used EV instead. Model year 23 one owner vehicles under 25k should qualify for an additional 4k discount. the lease deal looks to be 10k per year for mileage. Prices exclude taxes and fees. I have an id 4. Can't say I would recommend it

Decent deal but lots of EVs have crazy incentives right now. If you can depart with more per month you can get an epic vehicle. Lease hackr has some good examples on their site.

I don't understand the hate here. We leased the first Edition back in 2021 - we have 90,000 miles on it, no issues - great German build quality - no issues whatsoever. One of the best cars we have ever owned and we were previously a Honda only family for decades. No, I'm not ever going to use it to race best super smooth drive. 240-260 mile range depending on how I drive it. Only issue we've had is the awful charging infrastructure- but at 3 year free charging when we got it, we could live with it. We fast charged every day for the 3 years because of how much we drove and I saw range go down by maybe 5 percent. We loved this car so much, it convinced us to buy another VW despite my previous hesitation with 'VW reliability'. We have a Pro S 1st Edition. We've joined every ID4 Facebook forum and the majority of people love theirs. We leased ours originally for $420 monthly during the the 2021 car shortage so.
I am German and as much as it pains me to say this MADE IN GERMANY is no longer a marketing line that should be trusted. Few items are better build there then elsewhere but car generally have been pretty poor.

I assure you, it's been known for decades in America that German-built cars have sub-par build quality in favor of cost saving, performance, weight reduction, etc.

Looking for Dealer Fees, (nowhere are those listed on terms) and what people actually PAID, not what's advertised and as of now, not a single person has posted they were able to take advantage of.
I just got offered 2024 ID 4 PRO, $2652 up-front for all fees, then $159/month plus CA tax. 24 months, 10k/year.

Any way non Colorado residents can avail this ? I heard some dealers do out of state lease deals
At a minimum you would need to title and register the car in Colorado. For 2025 the dealer is likely arranging this offer using the $3,500 state credit (down from $5000 in 2024), an additional $2,500 credit for vehicles with an MSRP below $35k, and a $600 credit for packaging credits within the lease (basically for processing all the paperwork). Details on the Colorado credits are available here [colorado.gov].

Good luck!

Went in to try to replicate this deal today.

Walked out with a ID.4 S trim, MSRP of $47k.

Paid $1,750 down, $200/month with taxes and doc fees included. Residual at the end of 24 months is $27k.

Money factor is 0.00001 (0.02%).

This car is perfect in this particular situation for us. Less than 10k miles a year and the house produces excess solar. It's not the right car or deal for everyone. I looked for a dealership with a lot of inventory (40+ here) and went for it.

Editing to add: The taxes and fees were quoted as $50 more per month, so the $149 would have been $199 if following the original lease for the Standard trim.

There is nothing wrong with their FSD, they just get updates at a slower rate.
They will also get a free upgrade if they purchased FSD and HW3 can't make the cut for unsupervised.

So far they didn't and Tesla don't have an actual plan to have it done, so those who paid $15k for so called FSD got played, even though there is class action in California to get money back.
Everybody else is up, unlike Tesla.
Find a Tesla deal for this money
Tesla has it's fair share of issues. The most infamous is the creaking upper/lower control arms due to fail bushings. Also vcfront_A447 error code from the Hvac system. Too many to list. Thank god I bought extended warranty for it or I would have to pay up big time to have my issues fixed.

Crazy deal! Probably the best deal on a lease I have seen since the 2019 Hyundai ioniq which I purchased.
Hopefully going to be able to replicate this later this week, thanks!

Still reading about all of the nightmares with this car. We were deciding between this and a Mustang.Mach E last December 2023. So glad we got the Ford. Best car I've ever had. We have solar in MA, so driving it is quite cheap with home charging.

Good luck in finding a dealer who will honor this deal !!
Found three. Test drove one last night, but did have to bend an arm to do a test drive due to recall status.

It will be easy to find. Did you try? All I'd.4's have a recall and are non-sellable until they replace some parts on the front doors. You can secure the car so any in inventory could be yours once the recall is complete. One dealer offered to get the recall parts rushed.

I'm looking at this as an extra car with space for kids & a dog. Cuz I'm shopping sports cars (C8, M2 etc).

Good plan if you have the cash to
buy outright. Not great if you finance. Also high risk of depreciation cost in this plan. Look at Nissan Leaf % retained value for example.

This is one of the cheapest was to get around and is MUCH improved over the '21-23s.
