RJ-45 10 gpbs are not the same price range as sfp. sfp to rj-45 10 gbps are at least $30 a pop.

I got a refund for the QNAP, but even after replacement RMA the TRENDnet still exhibits the problem and firmware updates via PuTTY don't fix.
Ultimately, I had to go with the 5-port TEG-S750 which has all 10G RJ45 ports, but is much more expensive. It's done better, but still not perfect.

Ultimately, I had to go with the 5-port TEG-S750 which has all 10G RJ45 ports, but is much more expensive. It's done better, but still not perfect.
In my experience, Trendnet was always the inbred cousin of TP-Link. Somehow even worse. Though I haven't used a Trendnet product since 2007 when I last used their routers. Didn't even know the company was still around. It was always the bottom of the barrel for price/quality.
