Sometimes a comment is so out of touch that a simple thumb down is not enough to express my bewilderment. 🤣

If you like hot beverages there is a use for it anywhere. It ensures that my last drink of tea/coffee/hot chocolate is the same temperature as my first drink. I love my ember!

Unless you live in death valley and only drink coffee outdoors in the middle of the summer then there is always a place for it... anywhere. What an odd thing to say.

Does anyone know what Costcos policy is for price adjustments? I bought this in store around November 1st for 100 bucks. I use it almost every day and love it. I set it at 135 and it keeps coffee warm for about 1.5 hours. I don't notice any big difference in taste. I know Costco is great on returns, but do they adjust after 2.5 months?

Buy from online and return the new unopened to the store with store receipt as long as the SKU is the same ( it should be)

Price adjustments within 30 days is their most recent price match policy update. You can always buy at this price and return these with your November receipt. Six of one half dozen of the other. Beware that without a receipt in hand? The system picks up the most recent sales price in your purchase history so be sure to alert the cashier before they let the register automatically pick up the lower price paid instead of the higher price for your refund amount.

Those looking for a cheaper alternative with similar features, Walmart has something from their house brand for $25: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mainst...5022970176.

Are you able to price adjust after buying them in the store?

For the price, the batteries on these are rough. They advertise 80mins but I get maybe half of that. Also, it burns the coffee when less than half full instead of keeping it at a steady temperature.

Do you write this same comment when deals on high-end watches are posted? Surely no one "needs" to spend hundreds or thousands on a watch when you can just check the time on your phone. DSLR cameras? Why when everyone has a camera on their phone. Hell even posts for flagship phones themselves, no one "needs" smartphones right? After all people have lived their entire lives just fine before without them.
I think we can agree you can make that argument for almost everything that is on here, so what is it about this mug that triggered you?
BTW, 16 downvotes to 1 up vote so far. Seems like everyone is laughing at you instead of with you as you claim.

People in this thread are really trying hard to justify this purchase. I need my drink held at a specific temperature is some serious cope. More junk for the landfill. Absolutely silly product.
You're wrong. I love my ember and have been using it for over 4 years for thousands of cups of coffee. And I have another one at my desk at work.

I can casually drink my hot coffee at my perfect temperature over a 30-40 minute period. It's wonderful.

Considering it's $100 and I've used it with no issues for years, the cost per cup is extremely low. I mean there are lines around the block of people paying $4-9 for a single coffee at Starbucks and no one bats an eye. But I buy a cup that I use and enjoy for YEARS and that's what gets everyone on Slickdeals upset? Really?

Edit: I left the thread and could not help but notice that right below this is a 1872 piece DeLorean Lego set for $163, marked down from 199. Not a single comment on there about THAT being unnecessary? Why is it that this coffee cup always gets people so heated.

ROFL.. $75 for a cup.. WTH. Is it made of Gold?
Ironically, a gold plated cup would do the exact same thing without wifi targeting.

Smartphones didn't exist until I was in college. And half the entire population of the world is even older than me. By your logic, only gen-z and younger should consider smartphone deals "slick" because they grew up using them.
