Best humidifier out there! Super easy to clean, programmable, quiet, and strong. Capacity is smaller than some if you are using for a large space, but wasn't a deal breaker for me.

I have three of these in my house in addition to the larger stand-up version. Cleaning can be a bit of a hassle but it is definitely easier to take apart than other models that I've tried. Works fairly well with Google home showing just basic information however their app is actually pretty user friendly and nice. I just wish it were matter compatible. In retrospect I would rather purchase the stand-up 1000s model because the number of parts and ease of cleaning is significant. I'm talking on the order of potentially 10-15 additional Parts with this smaller unit that you need to scrub.

only thing I hate about this humidifier is the minimum humidity level is 40%. Living in the desert of Arizona, 40% means it will never turn off. I have others that can set as low as 30% and I have it set at 35% which means the humidifier gets a break once in a while. When the outside humidity is 5%-10%. Just opening the door for 30 seconds sucks all the humidity in the room instantly.

Anyone know the difference between this and the Wirecutter pick (LV600S)?

Pretty sure they're the same, just with a modified model number so that the Costco one is unique (LV6s vs LV600s). The specs are all the same.

Bought this last week and still haven't had it delivered, time for a price adjustment.

Have had this over a year now and it's been going on strong. Still puts out the vapor at a strong level and the heating function actually works unlike the Winix brand. Although I don't use the heat function all the time

Do you have a link to the models you are talking about that are easier to clean?

From the pic I can't tell if this is the old model or new. The newer model you can refill from the top. The old you have to take the container off and flip it which is a pain for my mom's.

I hope that's true; if so, this is a great deal

Can anyone speak to the cost of the filters? Are good quality, 3rd party filters available? IMO, that is the kicker with humidifiers (and cleaning ease)

I could see the handle on the top inside the water container. Looks like this is the updated version. I've had it for over a year, great product. One minor annoyance are the plastic supports inside the vent assembly can be hard to clean when they inevitably get deposits over time.

Bought the LV600s a few years ago, and it's still going great. My parents' house has virtually no insulation or something because the humidity drops down to ~25% according to the hygrometer I got. This thing keeps my room at a nice 40% humidity. I use Brita water on it, and the deposits build up so I probably clean with vinegar once every other week. Simple little scrub with a toothbrush and shake out the water tank with some vinegar and rinse afterwards. I assume it's our house, but this thing burns maybe 70% of a tank each night just to keep the humidity at a good level. But absolutely worth it. And at this price, even better.

We have the LV600S, 300S, Classic 200s, and Dual 200S - all bought over a 2 year period as we added them to various bedrooms around the house. I have not had any issues with any of them and none of us really get sick - so maybe they help?

We also have a distilled water maker for these, so I am constantly producing 3 gallons per day, just to keep up. I'll admit, the most annoying part of these is keeping them clean - otherwise, I have no issues with this brand and all of these models. Just get the one that fits your room size the best!
