For Just Dance, does it add more songs if you buy this edition?
My kids received 2025 edition for Christmas (code) was wondering if buying this would give them these songs to also dance to.

Yes, you'll redeem the code in the Nintendo shop on the switch. The code will unlock all the songs for the 2024 edition which can be accessed under the just dance application.

What a waste of resources to manufacture a dated item just to redeem digital. I can imagine the plastic box would stay on shelves for the entirety of the products life cycle to hopefully get wrapped as a gift one day. But to limit it to a year. Not include anything that the shop doesn't offer. And not be limited to an exclusive retailer. What a waste.

I hate digital for Switch games. Would've bought it if was the actual cartridge. Pass.

I use my switch on the go, and don't want to carry a bunch of carts around.

TBF, I probably have 10x the carts vs the average user, but half of those are still wrapped and all are sitting on a shelf.

It is a waste for a code, especially since they have the cards they can sell with codes (the ones they stack on racks), I think these boxes are to trick buyers (eg grandparents buying a gift).

I have 3 kids all with their own Switches. The carts allow them all to share the games. Digital codes are all locked to the device (and for games that hold their value like Mario, carts can be traded back in for $$$). Can't share/re-sell digital games.

My Xbox/PC are mostly digital for me though.

I feel this. I only buy digital for less than $10. Ubisoft with 2024 just dance started the trend of only digital. I'm only buying cartridge games if over $10. Might get lucky with FB market.

I have multiple systems too, so I understand that angle. My switch use case (cardio time) is definitely not the normal usage/average
