Pardon my ignorance, what makes these so special over a high end Dyson, shark, etc? I know the name has been around forever, I assume it's because they are easier to work on, and likely easier to fix so longevity?

I have this canister vac and it is INCREDIBLY good. It has not lost its suction (I've had mine at least three years) whereas other vacs I've had always start out wonderful but after 1-6 months lose some degree of their suction power (vacuuming with a weak vacuum cleaner is a huge pet peeve for me).
I was tired of paying a few hundred dollars every year for a new vac, and wondered if Mele is worth the hype. It is.
Now that being said, paying over $600 for this machine seems high… although I've been out of the vacuum market for years. My best advice is to wait for a very good sale from a place that allows returns and give it a try. I doubt you will return it though.
I have the c3, purchased used. It's night and day compared to Dyson. Here my advise, regardless of your needs, get bagged vacuums ... Bagless loose suction because debris clogs motor quickly... If you want a vacuum that will filters allergens, HEPA is ideal. If you want the best HEPA and bagged... This is it.
The HEPA filters last about a year... Yes bags and HEPA are an expense but why waste your time vacuuming if you just blowing 10% off the small dust around. Use eBay to source your filters and bags

TBH, you don't really need to change the HEPA filter. There are a few videos on youtube that demonstrate no reduction or restriction in air flow with a very very old HEPA filter.
Bags on the other hand are a different story. Always use legit miele bags.

Folks will make the argument this model is made in German vs Asia, or that miele uses better quality build materials. Most importantly for me, miele filtration is way better than Dyson or shark. Miele is a bagged system which is more hygienic & true HEPA filtration.

I bought this product from Greentoe and the seller is actually a very reputable website which has held sales of this sort in the past. Just search on SD, and you'll see the seller.
That said, the Miele box I received says Made in Germany - Immer Besser

My offer for $667.46 was accepted on 10 January 2025. At the time it said that 13 were in stock so it should ship quickly. Today, 13 January 2025, I received to following email from Greentoe:
"We have been working on getting you a counter-offer on the Miele 10014520 , however at this time all our retailers are sold out. Therefore, rather than leave your offer as active and mislead you regarding your chance of acceptance, we have expired your offer and will contact you when it is available again.
Please let us know if you have some alternative you're interested in and we will do our best to get you a deal.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Will the offer come back once the item is back in stock? Or do we have to place a new offer for them to accept?
I jumped on this deal with the expectation that it would not be fulfilled because the price was the lowest I've seen on SlickDeals. FYI, there was 13 unit available when I put in my order and they had the same amount post-ordering and when the vac arrived at my door step. I don't trust the quantity but Greentoe actually came through with the delivery.
