Anyone know this brand?

The unfamiliar all caps name makes it look like a Chinese knock off marketplace seller on Amazon.

They've been around for years. Make various storage related things. I have a DAS and a SATA to USB adapter by them. They're ok. Not bottom barrel but not top of the line. Mostly I've seen them on Amazon.

Like almost everything, it's made in China.

No reason it shouldn't.
The main thing is that this isn't much of a deal. IIRC the drive was $40 at Amazon like a week ago and it has an even lower endurance rating (240 TBW) than the same company's J10 (300 TBW). You almost certainly won't get anywhere near that limit in actual use, but for comparison, even slightly more expensive drives are 600-700 TBW per TB capacity.

For $10 more this would be better I think:

MSI one is PCI-e 4.0 not 3.0 like this Orico although in real world probably wouldn't be noticeable.

The brand uses a Chinese controller (Maxio) and Chinese NAND (YMTC) - but that's why it is $45.
If you need a random 1TB stick, it should be fine, just don't expect great customer service if you need to use the warranty and the speeds will drop off if you fill up all 1TB since it's a low end component.

Need cheap storage for a game/steam drive, will this be good for that?
Should I go with something more reliable?

This is a cheap Chinese brand that typically uses nand that doesn't pass qc or used nand harvested from old ssds. These Chinese ssd brands are a dime a dozen in shenzhen. This would be $10 there.

That's running at 3.0 speeds, so it's really more like it's 4.0 compatible, which everything is.

I'm glad I had my dad get the Orico TLC drive that was $40 a couple weeks back. As far as I can tell, neither of these are TLC... And I can't recommend QLC for a boot drive.

I've yet to find a mention of warranty conditions or support on their website. Even if they do have it listed, having to dig for that information it's a very bad sign.

My data and my other components are worth more than the price of a cheeseburger that I'd save by buying this instead of a drive from a reputable brand.

it is not that chinese made products are of bad quality or lower specs, it is the price. if chinese get into this area, the price should be expected to around $10/1TB
