That's the daily value number, not the percentage of the product. This would taste insanely horrible if it were nearly half sodium.

But I have to ask.. Why is there someone like this on every post for food and beverage now? The nutrition facts are plainly available. If someone is concerned with their sodium intake, they know where to look.

Don't yuck my yum but I've used 3 cans for a tomato base to make a "Pasta e Fagioli" type dish. With pasta and veg and some meat. It was good, just added some water to thin it out and let it boil back to thicken it up again.

Just an idea.

Because not even remembers to look. And some are more sensitive to sodium than others. Some of the V8 beverages offer low sodium versions but unfortunately that is not the deal here.

This website is not what it used to be 😂 we used to just be people who loved good deals...now we have crazy people post all the time who just want to deflect others from deals. It's a lot of drama to say the least.

Low sodium flavor is delicious. Just slammed a can about an hour ago. It only has 200mg sodium at 9% dv.

Low sodium is $12.05 for 24. Takes the sodium from ~800mg to 200mg

Because we want to warn others about high sodium because they either have high blood pressure or will at this rate. The amount of sodium in US canned products is atrocious

Just remember that sodium is not a causal factor for hypertension for everyone. In fact, some studies [medicalnewstoday.com] show that some people who consumed less sodium than the 2300 mg recommended amount had higher blood pressure than those who consumed 2500 mg or more per day.

I do agree, canned products across the board (along with most processed foods) have way too high sodium counts. Balance (and hydration) are key.
