For those who want to compare pouch to can tuna.

A 5oz can yields about 3.5oz of drained tuna, 40% more than a 2.5oz pouch.

So, the can-equivalent price on this deal is almost exactly $1 per can. ($8.62 / 12)*1.4=$1.0056

But, I prefer my tuna unflavored.
