Saying that, it is a nice complete spare set that I go to often, considering trashing the box in favor of something else to house the tools

The best socket set to get is the DeWalt 192-Mechanics. It's $150 (avg) though.
Project Farm liked the Husky Mechanics set, but that is $169. So is the better Kobalt Mechanics set.
I think this $99 set and add-on wrenches and missing sockets.
OR the DeWalt set and a separate wrenches set.
I bought this $99 set for a friend for Christmas. He's getting into some basic car fixin'. I wasn't going to spend $140+ on a Christmas gift for him.
As for Kobalt, my sister had a broken 1/4" adapter. I found one at a local Lowes, and CS did not balk to allow me to exchange it although it looked completely different.
A bit too bad it looks like the real tool count has gone down while the box quality hasn't been improved, despite years of feedback; all 3 of mine(two different revisions) are held together with hot glue. Speaking of which...
Pro Tip: If you rebuild the cube with a little hot glue in the joints, the sides will stop falling off and the drawers will be easier to remove and replace without other drawers going diagonal on you. The top handle WILL still break off@some point, though. Make sure not to contact the plastic cube with the hot, metal nozzle of the glue gun!
