Once it starts to burn unevenly, wrap tinfoil around the candle. It'll help retain the heat and allow it to burn evenly.

I used to buy these all the time but honestly they're junk and not worth it even at this price. I can never get the single wick candles to burn evenly - Even when you attempt to let the entire top layer melt during the first burn. 2 wicks at minimum, 3-4 are ideal. I've had good luck with Marshalls/TjMaxx and Aldi's candles. But of course if you love one of the scents, to each their own

According to my wife, paraffin wax is bad. Soy wax is better. So she doesn't allow this type of candle to be burned in our household.

I had never heard of the wax being bad? Honestly can you write here what she said? Thank you

I found some info from Cleveland Clinic

According to Dr. Farooq, a small number of studies suggest an association between candle burning and bladder cancer. "All these volatile organic hydrocarbons accumulate in the blood," she explains. "They eventually get excreted through the bladder, hence the link with bladder cancer."
As a result, Dr. Farooq says people under surveillance for, living with or in remission from bladder cancer might want to go easy on the candles. Likewise, she encourages people with chronic lung conditions like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to be mindful of the levels of air pollution in their homes.

Now, from working with patients, the majority of bladder cancers have been attributed to smoking...per the urologists I work with and anesthesiologists as well.

She said she read that paraffin wax candles release toxins. It hard to figure out what to believe on the Internet. If you do a search about paraffin wax, you can decide for yourself whether or not to use them.

I've done this in the past with minimal effectiveness. By all means, if you want to buy this because you enjoy the scent - have at it. I personally refuse to jump through hoops just to make a poor quality candle burn evenly

Weird, negative comments on here. That is a great price for that candle. It smells so good!! I buy these every year around the holidays. I've been buying Yankee candles for over 30 and have never had one "burn unevenly " (what??) to the point where I stopped buying them. It's a candle. It smells like a Christmas tree. If you don't like candles…just don't buy candles. It's simple.

There is not conclusive peer reviewed scientific evidence that candles cause bladder cancer. I would delete your post.

I've been buying yankee candles for over 30 years and I've never had a problem like this. Strange that is only happening to you. Maybe your table is crooked. 🤣
