every little bit counts right
The benefit of purchasing locally is just driving in to get the battery tested and swapped if defective within the 3 year warranty. On that note, don't go to Costco for batteries, they suck ever since they started the pro-rated refund.
Edit: Not dumping on the deal, I bought the H6. No core charge for recycling means I can keep the existing one which is mostly functional as a backup (remote start was failing which is a high cutoff). I figured my scenario is low risk.

Their FLA batteries are made by Exide, so I assume these are, too.
Yeah 4 years on a flooded battery is a long life in my experience. You might want to check out blogs on your Tacoma's charge system putting out high enough voltage for AGM use. Seems I remember Taco owners having problems with the upgrade due to low charge system float voltage
thanks for the heads up on the compatibility issue

Digging in a little further, a diode has an inherent forward voltage drop of .2-1V, depending on diode type. The ECM sees this circuit as its system voltage monitoring point and adjusts the alternator's output upwards by that same amount, making your AGM battery a happy camper without side effects.
There's currently a pretty sweet deal on a U1 lawn/garden AGM for $37 shipped on Ebay. I bought one a while back and it's doing a good job on my Gravely zero turn mower (24HP Kawasaki FR730V).

If I may elaborate a bit, AGMs use similar lead plate and acid chemistry as traditional flooded batteries, with the addition of a fiberglass mat that the acid is absorbed into for less evaporation and more stability in extreme conditions. They're always maintenance free and much less likely to leak. The glass mat construction comes with a slightly higher charging voltage requirement for the battery to reach full charge. Most modern vehicles are designed with AGM use in mind and will readily accommodate them, but a few will not without adjusting charge voltage a little higher than factory. Otherwise the battery will never reach full charge and premature failure will result.
Yes, I understood that.
spectheintro asked how quickly they ship, which is why I mentioned the time it took for my battery to arrive.
They seem to have inventory on both coasts.

——My Tacoma is charging @ 14.29 factory idle, not sure where other information comes from?
