Really tempting.
Coming from several years running Macbooks, I bought a 9th gen Legion 7i, 14700, 16GB with 1TB SSD and 4060 from Best Buy for $1149 just before Christmas (upgradeable to 32GB for $80 or so). I like it, but this looks like a potentially better all rounder for productivity. I can't tell for sure if it would be any quieter or cooler under (light) gaming load or general office use. I've done some research to compare but don't feel like there is enough info. Any thoughts from those that know these recent product lines better than I do?

Go with yoga Pro 7 14AHP9 or yoga Pro 7 14APH8, AMD version on slim and light laptops are better at thermal and clock stable. i7 version throttle like hell, just say no with them, intel better come with thick and powerful vrm laptop.

Ultra 100H still require 120-170W for boost clock. Only ultra 200V made by TSMC 3nm is low power requirement

I have used this laptop for programming for about 7 months now and can say its a pretty nice machine. Only complaints are battery is average, and it keeps waking itself up when the lid is left open. I dont do any gaming so cant speak to the video card or gaming performance. But it is a solid built machine and is on the heavier side. I came from a Lenovo ideaPad 5 which was def cheaper and couldnt keep up with the loads, plus the stupid hinges broke and I had to fix them myself. This has a great buid.
