Apparently that's true based on reviews. If that's the case and i wash my car on average 4 times a year. I'll leave this Detail wash in my will for my future grandkids.

pH of 9 to 9.8 per the SDS. So it is going to be a little more aggressive of a soap. Could be good for a foam cannon prewash. The higher pH will help lift grime quite well.

As a general rule, best to have slightly lower pH for salts and chemicals, higher pH for greasy grime, neutral pH for maintenance washes.

Totally adequate to use in a foam cannon though and then use a neutral pH bucket wash.

Great soap. Highly dilutable, lubricious and foams quite nicely in a foam cannon.

Not sure what your reservoir capacity is. But if you use a 5-gallon container it would be about 1.6 oz or 47 ml you can round up a bit or down to the closest measurement.

The label on the back of the bottle is a little confusing as it says both 400:1 and 1 ounce per 5 gallons (640:1). I go with about 3 gallons of water to an ounce, which is close to 400:1. This stuff foams up very well so you want to fill up the bucket most of the way with water, add the soap and then foam it up. Otherwise, the bucket overflows with suds by the time you've gotten like a gallon of water in it.

If you were to use this with a garden-hose type foam cannon, would you use that same dilution ratio in the soap resevoir?
