This is the most basic and simple solution and it never crossed my mind. Thank you!

In all seriousness I have seen some homes where one side has been attached to the stud and the other to the drywall, hence "sagging" :-)
Thats an improper install. not a malfunction or lack of funtion on part of the metal frame.

I have Always used a piece of Quality 3/4" plywood.. going stud to stud and beyond to hold my mounts.. so the mounting plate and holes don't matter
Sounds great in theory, but spoken like a man who is not married. My wife would never be okay with an ugly piece of plywood behind the tv.

Incorrect … married 30 years…. you don't see the plywood (I painted it to match the wall ) and you have to be actually Looking behind the tv to see it.. along with the gazillion wires and cables etc

Now if you want to get the most Amazing look.. you remove the Sheetrock and put a couple layers of plywood behind the Sheetrock and patch it back and paint it.

If you're building a New house you definitely want to plan for a mount… pretty much in Every room

How do these hold up after a year, do they sag badly?
I can't stop mine from sagging and it's brand new. Gonna wrench it the next time I make an adjustment.

Thanks.
And then regular 3/4" wood screws to attach the TV mount to the plywood...?
I used pan head cabinet screws

NO ! They need 1/4" lags at least 1"-1 1/2" long with washers minimum… at least 4 … depending on the weight of the TV
This mount gives you alot of locations to put numerous smaller fasteners. Just make sure u are predrilling if ur using lags

Mine is installed on interior t1-11 with multiple cabinet screws

So I bought this and installed it last night.

I have 16" between my studs and it was wide enough for each end to be on the center of the stud.

Fairly easy to install, considering I've never mounted a TV before.

It's nice and heavy and holds the TV securely. I'd recommend!

Beware!!!!!

I order this about month ago from same vendor Giada Ergonomic Furniture via Walmart.

I received diffrent brand Pipshell Model # PILF8, max size TV 75" , 100 LB
Owners manual was from Peargear(PGMFK3)
Walmart need to screen their vendor better.

What's the difference between this and something $80+ at Costco?
