If by "image quality" they are strictly talking about photo resolution, yes, the 5DIV is slightly higher (30MP vs S5ii/X's 24MP). If you want to consider any of the many other aspects of image quality and camera usability, the Panny wins. Panny has better DR, better lowlight, better AF, smaller, lighter, and its video capabilities are simply leagues ahead of the 5DIV. I would only pick the Canon for someone who already has a bunch of EF glass, doesn't shoot video or cares little about it, and prefers an OVF over an EVF.
Is that some AI generated trash or something? Those two cameras aren't even remotely in the same segment. The closest Canon mirrorless to the S5IIX is the R6II.
Panasonic tends to have very good video features that you won't get on Sony unless you move to their proper cinema line (So no FX-3/30). Shutter angle, wave forms, raw video, all-i video, etc.

From camera decision. Enough said. Still hard to beat that DSLR from Canon.
Its really not in the modern world, especially because Canon themselves are already EOL their EF mount stuff, it'd be crazy to buy into that system at this point. They've certainly got some RF mount stuff that is better than Panasonic, but, it also comes at 30-50% higher prices.

ALso, if you shoot video at all, that 5DIV is hot garbage by comparison. Bad crop, bad codecs, really bad end results compared to basically any modern mirrorless camera. Which is what you should expect from a nearly 10yr old camera vs a nearly new one.

Basically. They use algorithms to compare specs and spit out a "decision". You can read this on their "About" page.

I don't get why people buy these cameras. Just go with Sony. Amazing autofocus and huge lens selection. I bought the s5 II then returned it cause the autofocus wasn't good at all. Solid camera for everything else. Just go with Sony. ZV-E1, A7CII, fx30 or a6700. Greentoe will sell you a usa a6700 for $1000 no tax. Amazing camera.

Panasonic actually supports their cameras with firmware updates for years, unlike Sony which forces you into a new body for a modest upgrade.

Video reasons...af on Sony is still better but Sony won't come close to the stabilization on the Panasonic. If you are doing documentaries right now the S5iix, the GH7, pocket 3, or an iphone15 pro and above is your best bet.
