How bad is the heavy metal issue actually? This has been a known for some time but beyond "it's in there" and "it's above some threshold" we don't know much.
I no longer trust most food products. I feel like a lot of bad stuff gets into food and the federal government is too lax when it comes to this kind of topic.
Neither 2.09lbs worked for me. It said it accepted the promo code, but the price was $22.06 after promotions and discounts. Got the 1.94lbs protein + greens though.

The "it's contaminated" study is not available to the public and is funded by an organization that appears to sell "clean" certifications. The "it's not contaminated" rebuttal is funded by the supplement lobby. Can't trust either side on this. All we know is that these products pass federal regulations but not CA Prop 65 warning label standards. There's widespread bipartisan consensus that Prop 65 went too far. Cars come with Prop 65 warnings. But that doesn't mean Prop 65 is necessarily wrong 100% of the time.
About a six months ago, I ran out of the protein powder I traditionally use and started using Orgain since my wife picked some up and it was already in our pantry. I was careful to only use half servings as I had never tried it before and initially had no problems.
I continued to use if for about two weeks because my wife admitted she wasn't really using it so I may as well use it up before purchasing any more protein powder (gotta get my money's worth!). Later on in the second week, I started to theorize a correlation between some really terrible BMs and Orgain. By the fourth week I was convinced I was allergic to something in it and stopped using it.
Things did get better about a week after I stopped using it but for about ten days there I was absolutely miserable. I have no evidence beyond what I have already said. I cannot confirm that something was wrong with the product but I can tell you when I see it on the shelf in Costco, I am physically repulsed. I have only recently built up the courage to go back to my old protein powder.
YMMV

If it had erythritol that's a known (potential) side effect. Try Orgain simple which doesn't have anything but low real sugar.

Update, mine didn't successfully cancel in time but on delivery it had ingredients matching the image (not the text in the product description). So, no erythritol in mine.
