Different battery technology and in addition, contrary to what you may be reading online, sales of electric vehicles worldwide have gone up. 2020 for sold more EVs in the US and more EVs worldwide than in 2023. What we're seeing is a slowdown of production due to initial estimates being highly over optimistic. EV production has dropped back to meet more realistic goals... Which is still increasing annually... Just not at the originaly expected rate.

I would guess companies are coming out with new products annually... And sometimes even more often, which makes the older ones less desirable which is why prices go down.

I often have wondered if prices have dropped because no one is buying the EV's and the surplus of battery components being more available.

I bought two of these Delta 2 units. Love them. Added a 150AH LiPo battery and XT60i cable for extending power.

Tax added about $23 putting total at around $412.

Prices may continue to drop or tariffs will push them up. Think this is a good enough value that I won't be losing sleep if/when the price drops $50 in 6 months

Would it provide power, yes. Recommended, no, as the cutover isn't fast enough vs a Delta 3 or River 3.

Do these set up well with an existing roof top solar or are these pretty stand alone only?
