does this have "preheat" mode? airfry instruction always said "preheat" at certain degrees but my cruisinart does not have any. just airfry mode and timer.

I believe so, i tried looking for you. I know it has smart sync where it can sync both baskets

Preheat just means heating up the air fryer before putting your food inside. Since every fryer heats up differently, the recipe can only give correct cooking time for a hot air fryer.

instructions for my food on airfryer is to "preheat" to certain degrees. my cruisinart does not have preheat, only some presets like "toast", "chicken", "meat"...once i turn that "airfry" mode on. i only have the timer adjusting. it will start counting down right away. no "before" allowance.

FYI: A good deal indeed. Shipping is $18 for orders <$100 if you have no store close.
Since I am in FL, I have no store close, so I will go for the Costco deal next week: Ninja Dual Zone 10 qt Air Fryer $149.99 – $30 off = $119.99
Still more obviously, but Ninja and Costco vs unknown.
If you can get the Blain deal though, $40 for it is a steal.

So start it while empty, get it up to Temp. Then put food in and reset the timer to where needed?
