Not bad, i got the bundle with the 3 batteries .. thats really the only accessory you def need since flying time is 15/20 min

This isn't a beacon. Not a lawyer but you control it with hand motions.

I don't care about arguing on the Internet, just if anybody is looking to buy a drone, you don't need a phone to use it. This wasn't clear to me when I bought it and it's a huge plus.

We unload the mountain bikes, turn on the drone and go.

Obviously not where prohibited or around emergency responders.

While I wouldn't be surprised if they are gathering data, I think it would probably be more in aggregate about Americans in general and not hacking and stealing CC info or something. Maybe if their GPS notices your flight near a military base they are going to grab your images, but I don't think there's direct danger to yourself. Still doesn't make me feel good, but I'm not worried for myself.

As much as i like this form factor, the runtime is just abysmal. One of the utube reviewer claimed a 7min run time. Lets say even if it is 10mins. That is not very good.

I wish I had this last year! I bought two GoPro 11s for a once in a lifetime trip to Colorado and Utah and both overheated in 10-15 minutes. We lost out on many epic moments because all we had were phones that worked.

I can't imagine what the reviewer did to get 7 mins. We took it out when the temps were just about freezing, chasing a bike and a runner for over a mile in decent wind where you could hear it struggling to go straight and had 11 minutes of video.

I think 10-15 is fine, again this is a sub $200 drone. There literally is no product that competes with with it's good at, at this price point.

Any thoughts if this would be a good grab to film my boat fishing trips? Just want something that can hoover over and catch some videos when we are fishing

I returned mine after a few weeks. Video quality looks like upscaled 720p. Forget about recording in anything but perfect bright light as well. It's a toy and if you have no expectations for video or photo then it's barely ok. Other huge issue is you cannot adjust the saturations/noise/sharpness etc via the app. So you have to buy the remote. But if you don't use the remote then the NEO forgets your settings. I'd buy it at $99. maybe.

I recently had to take down a couple of very tall trees in our yard, and needed to connect a rope high up each tree to help guide where it fell. I tied a fishing line to my Mini 2 and used it to string a line high up the tree which I then used to pull up a rope. Worked like a charm. But I had a third tree that also needed a rope, but had too many branches to maneuver around. So I bought the Neo and used it since it has very useful guards protecting the propellers. I tied the fishing line to it and was able to maneuver through the branches without causing the drone to snag or fall. Buying the Neo was cheaper than hiring someone to climb the large and unpredictable dead tree.
FYI. The Neo will not work with the controller that came with the Mini 2 so I had to use the app and my phone's WiFi to control it. Additionally, the Mini and the Neo are miles apart in terms of performance, range, battery life, and camera quality. But the Neo has some very cool features for following the user.

How well does the follow me work with MTB? Have you had any crashes? Any issues with other riders? How does it know to follow you?

Seems big companies like Costco or even Beach Camera seem to get their DJI drones.

If direct from DJI online to an individual, there have been some issues reported getting drones through customs. Many make it through some don't, but in that case DJI resends.
