Don't you need to keep the area wet to prevent the diamond blade from getting damaged? Also I'm sure the dust is horrendous on a chop saw.

Aw man I wish I had this years ago when building my firepit and patio. It seems like a good deal only because I never knew this existed. All I ever really see are the same tools that are always included in the "free" parts of the kits.

Does anyone know if this is a good deal?

I assume a table is best for tile with a max dimmmension of 12x24 but for larger format tile and heavy masonry, this is better. I can't see myself pushing 30x60 tile through a table and would prefer to push this through the tile. I don't own either but I'm just basing it off of a use case for circular saw vs table saw when cutting plywood. Ripping whole sheets is much better with a circular saw than pushing it through a table.

I've done some patio and other brick work in the past. A cheap 14in chop saw with a masonry blade will cost the same and far outperform this for that purpose.

This would have been a great companion to my brick patio I did last summer. I used 3600 of the .25 bricks from Home Depot that I saw on SD. Mostly I used a harbor freight tile saw but this would have been super helpful for trimming and shaping.

FYI..the free shipping promo code you receive when signing up for email and text discounts $15 from the price not shipping. So you actually save more than $15 since you don't have to pay taxes on those $15 =]

I have this one, used to cut a bunch of 1/2" thick 48" tiles 45 degrees. Worked really well, still on same blade. With this you can do beveled edge easy, no need to spend $1000+ if need a large capacity tile saw

Man I'm very tempted to get this for bevel cuts for a shower niche and cutting some of the mosaics instead of trying to be risky with my angle grinder…

this has an included water reservoir to keep the blade and work piece wet. you could wet the whole piece beforehand as well

The reply was about using a chop saw.

Wish I had that when I did pavers some years ago. The amount of dust that is generated from pavers is ridiculous. My neighbors probably hate me for that.(I wore proper mask. N95 or P100)
Ive use an angle grinder with diamond blade for porcelain tiles too. Works, but wish I had a wet saw at the time.
