Out of curiosity why would someone choose this over the Anker Solix C1000x that's on sale for $429 at Best Buy (Same capacity)?

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/anke...Id=6595416

Not being a smartass, just in the market and learning.

EDIT : looks like it's up to $479. Paid $429 yesterday. Still much less.

Anker CAN expand to 2x (2000wh) via the BP1000.

So this will expand a bit more I guess?

This one can expand with a 4k battery taking it to 5kwt. This unit is also mega quiet and just designed well. I purchased one and have been really impressed with the quality.

Sorry, not familiar with Anker product. 3000wh total by adding 2 more batteries.

My apology

Newer. USB 140W, 1000W solar input, expands up to 5 kWh, 10ms UPS. Very quiet, though I suspect C1000X is also quiet.

If money isn't an issue it may be good. But on a $/Wh basis, this is very expensive. Adding on more expansion packs will not make it any cheaper.

Considering the free-fall in costs for LFP batteries, I feel like these should be closer to $0.25/Wh by now. Maybe $0.30 for some premium/brand name.

I am running some higher capacity, no-name ones that were $250 (no tax) a while ago. I know... not the same. Still. shake head

The ups functionality appeals to me. Perhaps the anker does that too. These all seem to have dynamic pricing so it's just a bit of a game. Next time my ups dies I'll probably replace with one of these.

worth mentioning the Delta 3 Premium 1500 is $649 right now if you have a Costco account. Here's the thread.

If complaint against the the Anker C1000x, the Delta 3 plus is superior in all specs, hence the price difference

So it's constantly being charged and your PC and other peripherals are connected to it?

Yeah that's right. A bunch of stuff connected AC outlets including Mac, monitor, project, iPad, modem, router, APC, extension cord, etc. and the Anker is plugged into the AC wall socket.
