Summary:
DRAM
Consumes slightly more power
Faster performance (uses DRAM to map out where to read/write data)
Higher endurance and warranty (due to presence of DRAM)
Premium models cost more

DRAM-less SSD
Consumes less power
Relatively slower performance
Lower endurance and warranty
Most cost-effective

To those questioning Dram, if your use case is gaming, then don't bother, you will only notice load times improved by fractions of a second in most cases, 2 or 3 seconds at the highest end. If it is something like video editing, then it will make a difference.

Although I've seen better deals at $50, the Samsung 1TB 990 EVO is not bad for $60.

You're thinking of the 990 Pro.

I miss those days when B&H doesn't charge taxes even for California.
