This is very high quality tuna. Chicken of the sea is very bad compared to this. Thanks op
More like YMMV. I find the Bumble Bee Albacore highly inconsistent, but on average, not a lot of solid tuna in the cans. I think this goes for all the big brands today. If you buy larger size cans you're more likely to find solid chunks, but these 5 oz cans? Nope.

Less than a year ago, Amazon was unloading tuna at prices like you mention. Those were true Slick Deals. I stocked up, so I'm good for a couple of years, and I didn't think we'd see those prices again. Lo and behold, apparently we won't. $1 per can is barely a deal and not really a SD.

Still have the 8 pack ($5.26) from March. SD effect strikes again.

A few years ago I would have agreed with you. Now you can barely get the Walmart brand for less than $1 (yuck). No way can you get CoS or BB for less than $1, especially Albacore. This is a descent deal these days.

It's OK, I was just pointing out that it's a 13% increase from just last year's deal (91¢ for this deal, 79¢ per can last year w/max S&S).
I stand by my comments about the quality not being that great, it's nowhere near what it used to be for solid white, probably due to the small 5 oz cans.

sorry, it's low end tuna from warm waters of Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc. Mushy. Best tuna always comes from the deep waters of the Atlantic off the coast of Portugal, Spain, Morocco.

Bumble Bee: Taiwan owned, including Beach Cliff.
Personally, I don't care.
