These things must not be selling that well if they keep trying to discount it like that. I was almost going to buy one until I saw how dim that screen was. They should've put more effort in upgrading it than just a processor update.

Costco.com has the winning combo of sale price plus 90 day return policy (versus the usual 14 day policy at most retailers for Apple products). The $4.99 shipping fee is nominal when you factor in Costco's great 90 day electronics return policy.

I don't know why you got a downvote, but you're absolutely right about Apple being greedy for not including the 120hz screen on their upper $400 iPads. It's noticeable, especially on bigger screens.

Yes but keep in mind the 7th gen mini went to Esim only 🤮 so if you had an extra data sim card you wanted to swap that wouldn't work. One of the few things that imo was a downgrade from the 6th gen

Expensive for a non M-chip iPad. Aren't we on M4 now? Shouldn't this be at least M1 or M2 instead of A17 that is 5 generations behind?

A17 Pro uses the same cores as M3.

iPad mini is smaller so using M-series is probably too much power and heat for the mini's smaller chassis and battery.

Iirc, A17 Pro has performance close to M1 with lower TDP. I wish they'd used the A18 Pro though. I believe that one matches M1 perf.

I got one of these and I've been using it for a few days and I'd like to get some feedback. This thing drip is great if you watch YouTube all the time short show up perfectly in portrait mode and standard video shows up perfectly in landscape mode. iPad minis or polarizing. I found this is exactly what I expected I am on the side that they're awesome. Using split screen functions I can kick around apps really quick and I can hold this thing for a long time since it's much lighter. I find it great for reading and everything else too. I imagine Netflix and all the streaming video services will be enjoy as well
