This is one of those times when we may all be benefiting from the cheap Chinese brands. They're undercutting all the big name brands, and additionally making power tools compatible with their batteries.

I've also refurbished one of these 2ah batteries using loose cells from the site above. Cost $12 in cells, but you'll need a spot welder, nickel strips, and soldering iron/skills.
I have a 4ah battery on my bench to refurbish, but the twelve cells in that package are harder to remove/install.

Or I could disassemble the packs and sell the chargers. Getting 6 18650 cells for $20 is a pretty good price at $3.33 per cell, and anything for the charger is a bonus discount.
