You must be a barber…
this is not true at all. I've been cutting my own hair for 20+ years and saved over $20,000 in that time. I've gotten nothing but compliments on hair, but of course it's much more doable if you have a short hairstyle, can use both your right and left hand, have the proper mirrors, and dedication to practice.

Been shaving my head daily for the last 20 years. Money saved on hair cut and shampoo goes into my retirement fund.
Same, except weekly. I have been shaving my own head for 20-25 years, minus maybe a total of 2 years in between where I went to a barber. I have the same norelco, I just checked and next month will be the 10th year I have owned it. It cuts pretty good, but I may jump on this deal. Only thing holding me back is it not being cordless.

The 2 blades for the fast feed is already 30$ on Amazon. Not sure if it's oem either. It probably would be better to buy this brand new with 2 buzzer and new sets of plastic clips.

Havent been to a barber since 2009. I can line up, taper or cut my hair whenever I want.
Same. Probably been to the barber maybe 3 times since 2002. I thought about a barber for my wedding day, but I like my own cut, even if it's basic. I didn't want to experiment!

Well, COVID taught me two things:

1. It's all safe and effective.
2. Also, safely and effectively, I became very proficient (bordering on surgical) with my hair cutting kit. I can safely and effectively say that I look spectacular after each self-inflicted haircut!

Love when people think they gonna save money cutting their own hair... you end up looking like you lost a fight with a weed whacker. Sometimes, paying a pro is the real 'deal'.
I bought better clippers than these but I've been cutting my own hair over 20 years. I was paying $25 every other week since the late 90s until I started cutting my own hair.
So that's about $600-700 saved per year. Hair cuts are even more now.
The more you do it, the better you'll get.

I'm looking for high-quality hair clippers that will last many years. Would like something professional. I have a Wahl dual set I got from Costco but definitely on the cheap side. I had another Wahl set I got about 7 years ago that failed after a few years. The attachment I used wore out and got loose, the unit got loud and also the metal teeth chipped on about a 2 foot fall. They worked well enough for the price, so I tried the updated set from Costco when they failed and that later set failed after another 2-3 yrs. They worked okay, but don't seem to last that long only shaving once per week..

I'm fine with wire, open to wireless but prefer wired since battery operated will assuredly fail.

The quality of this pair doesn't look amazing

I just use a #2 clipper on my Wahl (don't buy a cheap one) and it works just fine. Wife says it's 99% good and she might fix up my neckline for me.

Speak for yourself, learned to give myself a clean a fade in high school and been doing it for 25+ years now. My fades are so clean all my friends used to ask for cuts and ended up being the resident barber for a number of years. Have fun blowing your $30-$40 every three weeks for a haircut.

I can count on my fingers how many times I've been to a barber since 2019. I give myself the cleanest fades and get compliments on my hair all the time. Even learned to cut the top recently. Good haircuts run you $40 these days… even if you're going once a month that's a $480 annual subscription

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I received the clippers I ordered today, Amazon delivered them in a box with Beach Camera/BuyDig tape.
The cut well. Build quality is nice, but guides included in box are garbage. Really thin plastic and difficult to put on and remove from clippers. Thankfully the Wahl guides fit perfectly.

Is "Craftsman" the brand name you want associated with your haircut? Drill? Sure. Wrenches? Sure. String Trimmer? Sure. But hair cut?

Having said that, I had a decent amount wrapped up in their v20 products. How about a beard trimmer with that v20 batter?
Not even kinda practical v20 those big ass batteries?
