This seems like a good deal. I'm not an expert in gaming computers, can anyone share their opinion on the quality of the deal?

you can get a new pro 7 with a 4080 processor for about this price. and the difference between the 4080 to 4090 processor isnt much.
what may matter is that this comes with a ryzen processor vs the new Intels that have issues and wether they have been fully resolved with a software patch is unknown.
It is known actually because none of the laptop mobile processors had that issue.

The main difference that makes the 4090 worth it is the 16GB of VRAM. 4080's 12GB isn't going to be enough going forward IMO.

Does this have better build quality and thermals than the Acer Helios 18? There's that refurbished Helios 18 4090 deal for ~$1900 that keeps coming back in stock periodically, and I think the screen on that is better, but people say the thermals aren't great and you can't undervolt with that laptop.
